Since the Nintendo's lawsuit, Street Karts was forced to remove Nintendo-themed costumes from it's wardrobe and has struggled from the fallout of the lawsuit.
This design is created from the memories of Street Kart which led tours of the city for visitors dressed in Mario, Luigi and Yoshi outfits, letting them drive go-karts on the city streets just like in the video games.
